What led you to create DTX/cellular evolution?
I was introduced to the world of internal cleansing and detox in 2001 and began living it as a lifestyle a year later. After one colonic I knew I was onto something special, then after a few months of diet change and colonics, I felt like a different person. Then a few years later, after many years of working in post-production in the film business I was ready to make a change and I became a colon hydrotherapist. I was extremely fortunate to fall into a group of highly talented and knowledgable therapists at a colonic center called Chakra 17. They taught me most of what has become the foundation of knowledge and skill I have around this work. After nearly ten years of working as a colon hydrotherapist there, at then LYT, I was in a position to open DTX/cellular evolution with Cindy Suarez in 2013.
What has been your greatest reward as a colonic therapist and the owner of DTX?
My greatest reward as a colonic therapist has been the opportunity to pass on the knowledge about benefits of a detox lifestyle. Sadly, much of the philosophy of internal cleansing is not in the mainstream, yet I find when most people hear it, they immediately acknowledge it’s simple, powerful truth. That is very gratifying.
As an owner of DTX, it’s gives me great pleasure to provide a a top-notch team in a modern, clean, environment that still feels like home. The world of detox has boomed in the last few years, but still often when colonics are mentioned to the uninitiated it elicits either a bewildered look or giggles. With DTX, we want take colon hydrotherapy and the cleansing lifestyle out of the shadows and bring it to a wider audience by showing how simple and helpful this work can be.
What myth would you like to dispel about colonics?
There are so many myths! Ok, if I had to choose one myth it’s the one that our colons get rid of everything. Well, the only people that say that are those who’ve never had a colonic! The truth is our digestive system, as miraculous as it is, was never designed to get rid of modern processed foods. While we do get rid of some of it, most foods outside of fruits and vegetables, will leave some residue. That residue accumulates over time and contributes to a host of diseases and ailments. That’s why we need colonics.
